1. Occupation 
2. Living in homes built prior to 1978 (especially if undergoing renovation)
3. Using imported pottery or pans that contain lead
4. Some imported cosmetics

Health Risks 

1. Affects fetal brain development
2. Pregnancy induced high blood pressure
3. May lead to permanently impaired intellectual development in children

Recommendations

1. Avoid renovating homes that were built prior to 1978
2. Avoid imported cosmetics and traditional remedies that might contain lead ingredients
3. Take off shoes at home (to avoid tracking dust that can contain lead)
4. Do not eat clay, soil, potter, or paint chips
